On the sell side:
The buyers did not ask us for anything! We have signed the Purchase and Sale, and close on Oct. 30th.
On the buy side:
We got that house we put an offer on last Friday (was that only a week ago?!) The inspection happened on Wednesday, and went very well. The only thing that needed to be addressed was that there are carpenter ants in one corner. The seller actually agreed to take care of it (and based on the condition of the house, we trust her to do it right). The house is really very nice. The only drawback is the small yard, but it is a nice yard, and the house itself is great! We will be signing the Purchase and Sale in the next couple of days, and closing on Oct. 20th!

Hooray! It's lovely! The backyard is small, but very nice. Might I recommend a wonderful book called Bountiful Containers by McGee and Stuckey? We had excellent luck with it this year (and were able to bring all our containers with us to the new house).
And now I know from experience how great it will be for you to walk in to a house that doesn't need any significant work!
