We recently had to replace our car. As we were headed out, our Jetta just died at a stop light about 0.5 mi. from our house. We had it towed home, and had our trusted mechanic (a.k.a. Grandpa) check it out. He suspected the timing belt, and couldn't find any other cause. Facing potentially expensive repairs on a car we planned to keep only a few more months (it was due for inspection in January and we planned to have a new one by then), we decided to bite the bullet and buy a new car a bit early.
So now we have a brand new Mazda 5 , and so far we love it! It is our first ever new car, and compared to a 1996 Jetta, it has some really nice features. (ooh, a CD player and power windows) It's not a minivan, but not a wagon, SUV or sedan either. I think the best description is a "microvan." Check it out!

to use a word I often hear Joel saying....."Nice!"
Congratulations! You guys probably need to make a long test drive...like to Kansas.
What colour is it? if it´s grey, we like it for ourselves! we might steal it from you. But we will share it, don´t worry, cause we saw it fits seven people...)
