Recital Day, Part One

Today was a day of recitals. Bright and early we headed out to Clover's Irish step dance recital/feis (pronounced "fesh"). Irish dance performance is a little different than, say, ballet. It's more of a competitive sport, so she had a number and a judge gave her comments on her dancing. (They go easy on the beginners and just say a few brief, nice things.) We thought she did very well in her two dances, the reel and the light jig, especially after she had to sleep on curlers last night. (Curls are to Irish dance as buns are to ballet.)
