Then, also yesterday afternoon, a boil water order was issued for 38 cities and towns in our area, including ours. A huge (10' diameter) water pipe broke and now all our water is coming from sources that are not treated/tested for suitability for drinking. So in order to drink, wash hands, wash dishes, or brush our teeth, we have to use pre-boiled or bottled water. Some stores are currently sold out of bottled water, and we haven't been out to try and buy any. We've basically been keeping our biggest pot busy boiling water all day so far. The water pipe is likely going to take several days to fix, so we're going to have to get used to having the pot on, I guess. That and we'll have to stock up on hand sanitizer.

What a weekend!
What started out well, with a birthday party for Clover (more on that later) has rapidly turned into a string of one bad thing after another. Joel started feeling sick yesterday afternoon, and was throwing up until nighttime. (This after he'd been gone for almost a week for work from last Saturday-Friday). He's slowly on the mend, but still in bed. I was paranoid that someone else would wake up sick last night, and didn't sleep much at all. Thankfully, the rest of us seem okay so far.

So sorry about the sickness and the water issues! We saw it on the news and wondered how many Boston friends were boiling water. I hope they get it fixed quickly!
