We recently started doing a family devotion together. Tonight as we were getting ready to start, Simon made reference to our "demotion time."
Not quite sure what a "family demotion" would be, but it doesn't sound too good...

A family devotion sounds so nice. Are you doing them in the evenings? I have plans for something like that as part of our homeschooling but haven't quite figured out what would be appropriate for a 4 year old and a 2 year old (with a baby tagging along). We already say evening prayers, so I'm leaning toward something a bit different.
We do our devotions in the evening on non-bath nights (every other day). We start out with a couple of songs (Sunday school type songs), say a prayer, and we read two stories from the childrens' Bible and one or two verses from the "adult" Bible. The whole thing is about 10-15 minutes, and the kids get to trade of choosing one of the stories.
